Wellness in Infrastructure is primarily supported through financial contributions from infrastructure construction companies that acknowledge our mission in the industry. Your contribution to the Foundation Partnership is crucial in empowering Wellness in Infrastructure to establish itself as an organisational entity. Our focus is the ongoing development and enhancement of mental health and wellbeing framework tools and interventions specifically tailored for the infrastructure construction industry. In addition, we will continue to advocate for change while actively sharing best practice initiatives sourced from various sectors within the industry.
Foundational Partnership Opportunities close 30th June 2025!
For us to fully deliver our mission, we need funding and support from the industry. Your contributions to Wellness in Infrastructure will help us to:
The Foundational Partnership presents a significant opportunity to advance Wellness in Infrastructure (WII) and to establish a meaningful, enduring impact on the industry. By engaging in this critical phase, your organisation will attain the status of a Wellness in Infrastructure Foundational Partner. A recognition that emphasises your company's commitment to improving the mental health and wellbeing of individuals in the infrastructure construction sector, positioning you as a leader in promoting a healthier workplace for everyone.
Your contributions to the Foundational Partnership are vital for WII's ongoing establishment and growth throughout Australia. These donations will allow us to hire and retain key personnel to manage our organisational administration, governance, and communications. Additionally, your support will enable us to continue developing and enhancing our innovative mental health and wellbeing tools, specifically designed for the infrastructure construction industry.
While we may seek future donations for specific programs or to address emerging needs, the Foundational Partnership requires only a one-time commitment and represents an exclusive opportunity to actively support the mission of WII in advancing mental health and wellness for all employees within the infrastructure construction sector.
Wellness in Infrastructure is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission and an endorsed “Deductible Gift Recipient” organisation, which means your donation can be tax-deductible - ABN Look-up: Deductible gift recipients.
While the organisation is founded in Victoria, it has successfully established a national presence and is actively planning to expand its Executive Advisory Committee and Working Groups. At present, individuals from outside Victoria are engaged as volunteers on our Board, Executive Advisory Committee, and Working Groups, contributing their diverse expertise and insights.
Wellness in Infrastructure is governed by an independent Board comprising non-executive directors and industry. However, it is a collaborative effort driven by the industry itself, aiming to provide interventions, support, and resources that promote healthier work environments.
Wellness in Infrastructure's funding strategy outlines several avenues for generating future revenue, which include:
In accordance with relevant legislation and AS/NZS ISO 45003:2021, this secure web-based application is currently in development, supported by funding from McConnell Dowell. The tool will assist companies and projects in conducting psychosocial audits using a standardised dataset designed for the high-risk infrastructure construction industry.
What does our future hold when younger generations choose to opt-out of a career in the infrastructure industry? WII’s 2023 Industry Survey revealed young professionals aged 20 – 24 are experiencing severe anxiety at rates three times the norm, so our Young Professionals Group is working hard on initiatives to improve the status quo.
Wellness in Infrastructure’s ongoing partnership with Culture in Construction on the Project Wellbeing Action Plan demonstrates our strong commitment to enhancing wellbeing in the industry.
Change starts with the leaders in our industry, and it is vital to evaluate their knowledge, skills, and motivation to lead this transformation effectively. Led by the Working Group, this initiative seeks to identify and develop educational programs tailored for industry leaders, focusing on the critical areas of mental health and wellbeing.
The Wellness in Infrastructure website serves as a dynamic platform to promote collaboration within the infrastructure construction industry.
The Wellness in Infrastructure Industry Engagement Workshops are conducted subsequent to the National Industry Survey to gather critical insights regarding the factors influencing mental health and wellbeing as reported by professionals within the industry
