Organisational Formation

Since its formation in 2018, Wellness in Infrastructure has made significant strides in improving mental health and wellness in the infrastructure construction industry.

2018

The Wellness in Infrastructure initiative was developed in 2018 by a group of senior business leaders who wanted to collectively address the mental health and wellbeing challenges being encountered by professionals in the infrastructure construction industry.

2019

Wellness in Infrastructure was formed through the collaboration of volunteers infrastructure construction companies, Government Authorities, and industry associations. 

2023

In late 2022, it was determined by the Steering Committee members that the most appropriate pathway to deliver real and tangible change in the industry was for Wellness in Infrastructure to form a not-for-profit, health promotion, charity.

2024

Appointed Prof. the Hon. Jill Hennessy GAICD as Chairperson.
