Explore Our Initiatives

Emperor Mentoring Program

Based on the success of the 2023 pilot program, the WII Mentoring Program aims to support existing leaders in enhancing their mentoring skills and knowledge. This program encourages them to share their experiences and wisdom with high-potential emerging leaders who are looking to strengthen their resilience and influence as mentees.

Integrated Approach to Wellbeing

Our flagship program exemplifies a practical approach by addressing the specific health challenges faced by construction personnel. This program involves assessing on-site conditions, gathering worker feedback, and implementing actionable strategies to create a more supportive workplace culture.

National Industry Survey

The Wellness in Infrastructure Mental Health Study will be conducted biennially in collaboration with Professor Luke Downey of Swinburne University. The primary objective of this is to establish a baseline relating the industry’s initiatives to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of professionals within the sector.

The Psychosocial Audit Tool (P.A.T) has been developed to support infrastructure construction organisations and projects in identifying, assessing, and managing psychosocial hazards in alignment with legislative requirements and industry best practice.

Young Professionals Working Group

What does our future hold when younger generations choose to opt-out of a career in the infrastructure industry? WII’s 2023 Industry Survey revealed young professionals aged 20 – 24 are experiencing severe anxiety at rates three times the norm, so our Young Professionals Group is working hard on initiatives to improve the status quo.

Culture in Construction Wellbeing Framework, Action Plan & Tools

Wellness in Infrastructure’s ongoing partnership with Culture in Construction on the Project Wellbeing Action Plan demonstrates our strong commitment to enhancing wellbeing in the industry.

Industry Leaders Education

Change starts with the leaders in our industry, and it is vital to evaluate their knowledge, skills, and motivation to lead this transformation effectively. Led by the Working Group, this initiative seeks to identify and develop educational programs tailored for industry leaders, focusing on the critical areas of mental health and wellbeing.

Best Practice Collection

The Wellness in Infrastructure website serves as a dynamic platform to promote collaboration within the infrastructure construction industry.

Industry Engagement Workshops

The Wellness in Infrastructure Industry Engagement Workshops are conducted subsequent to the National Industry Survey to gather critical insights regarding the factors influencing mental health and wellbeing as reported by professionals within the industry
